The chaser bins are very efficient and durable, and above all, they save time and money because they can be reloaded quickly.

Purpose of the wagons

The PP14 and PP20 chaser bins are used to transport grain or maize from combine harvesters to means of transport, while weighing it. Thanks to quick handling without the need for the combine harvesters to travel to the unloading site, the wagons save up to 30% of the time of operating combine harvesters. The chaser bins can be equipped with a weighing system that allows for weighing of the grain collected from a combine harvester or other load. An optional equipment is a tarpaulin to protect the load against rain. These machines can be controlled from the tractor driver’s cab by means of an electronic panel.

Available load capacities

In order to meet the needs of our customers, Metaltech offers two types of wagons: with the capacity of 14 and 20 tons. Both wagons are available with different equipment options.

The unloading auger is folded and hydraulically controlled. Upon transshipment, it reaches a height of 5250 mm and is finished with a nozzle for directing the poured material. This element can be set at different angles, which allows for precise transport of grain.

The load-carrying boxy is made as a welded structure and is mounted on the lower frame with the use of load cells or fixing elements.

These machines are characterized by a large load-carrying body with a funnel-shaped bottom with an auger conveyor transporting the material to the chute. From there, it is transported onto a trailer by an auger conveyor.

The wagon can be equipped with, among others, an easy-to-use tarpaulin that protects the load against rain. Safety nets inside the load-carrying body or, for example, a camera to monitor loading or unloading.

Hydraulic support foot facilitates coupling the trailer and a tractor. The wagon’s mechanisms are controlled by hydraulic systems. When connecting to the tractor outlet, at least four pairs of hydraulic ports are required.

Due to their tires, the wagons are adapted to travel on the stubble, especially when it is wet. With the wide tires of the chaser bins, soil compaction is reduced.

Economic rationale

The wagons enable quick collection of grain from combine harvesters working in the field and transferring them to means of transport. The load capacity of chaser bins is several times greater than the capacity of the combine’s tank, thanks to which, in the event the means of transport is delayed, the combine’s operation will not be disrupted.

Application

The chaser bins have versatile applications. These machines can also transport seed material for seeders, such as mineral fertilizers for spreaders. They are used wherever heavy transport cannot enter the field, and where combine harvesters have to travel long distances to empty their tanks.
